The Women's Soccer Team is playing a challenging schedule this year with the goal of improving their Michigan Power Rating to be one of the top 2 seeds at the MHSAA District Tournament. 

So far, so good. The Knights knocked off Division 2 #2 ranked Gull Lake last night 1-0. Sophomore Maddie Chappa scored the lone goal in the first half and Senior goalie Ella Stangl had a tremendous performance keeping the visiting Blue Devils out of the net. The field play by the entire team led to the victory. 

The Knights are 7-2 overall. After facing D1 #5 Troy on Saturday, the Knights will now go to BCC on Wednesday. They will travel to D1 #1 Hudsonville on Friday for 5:30/7:15 kickoffs. Next week find the Knights traveling to D2 #8 Stevensville Lakeshore on Monday and hosting D1 #3 Portage Central on Wednesday. 

The team stands 3-1 in the SMAC and tied for 2nd with D2 #14 St. Joe who the Knights defeated 2-0 earlier in the season. 

The challenging SMAC Tournament will be May 13 and May 15 at sites TBD after the final regular season league games on May 8. 

The District Tournament begins either 5/22, 5/23, 0r 5/24. The final bracket will be released by the MHSAA on Sunday 5/11.

Every game is a challenge. If the Knights continue to take everything one game at a time, there are great things ahead.
