Track Teams Running Well

Track Update:

The Track Teams have been busy and doing very well overall. 

On 4/16, the Men's Track Team won the Gull Lake Invitational for their 4th straight Gull Lake Invitational Title. It came down to the last event of the day, the 1600 meter relay, to pull out the win. The team of Junior Hank Perkins, Senior Keegan Hughes, Sophomore Trevor Watts, and Junior Nolan Tirbu won the event which pushed the Knights to the title. Loy Norrix scored 144.5 edging out Portage Northern who scored 142.5 in the 8 team field. 

Senior Nathaniel White had three first place finishes in the 100, 200, and was part of the winning 800 relay with Senior David Wilson, Sophomore Trevor Watts, and Senior Jonathan White.

Junior Anthony Kimbrough made his High School Track debut by winning the shot put. 

The Women's Team finished 5th with 68 points. Junior Annaleise Bol had two first place finishes winning the 400 and teaming with Junior Kendal Sloan and Sophomores Ella Adalbert and Anna Dunafee to win the 1600 meter relay.

The teams had their rescheduled dual at Gull Lake. The Men's Team moved to 2-0 with a 112-48 win. 

There were multiple first places:

Senior Nathaniel White won the 100, 200, and the 400 Relay 

Junior Hank Perkins- 400, 1600 Relay, 3200 Relay

Senior Keegan Hughes- 800, 1600 Relay, and 3200 Relay

Sophomore Trevor Watts- High Hurdles, 800 Relay, 1600 Relay

Senior Abraham Konjoh- Low Hurdles, 800 Relay, Pole Vault

Junior Anthony Kimbrough - Shot Put, 400 Relay

Junior Nolan Tribu- 1600 Relay, 3200 Relay

Senior Elle Kabombo - 400 Relay, 800 Relay

 

The Women's team fell to 1-1 with a 114-48 loss to Gull Lake. There were some solid performances with first place finishes by:

The 1600 Meter Relay team on Junior Kendal Sloan, Sophomore Ella Adalbert, Sophomore Anna Dunafee, and Junior Annaliese Bol.

Senior Lucy Konjoh in the High Jump and Junior Ella Hawthorne in the Pole Vault.

The Knights hosted Buchanan on the home track. The men's team moved to 4-0 with a 112-51 win and the Women's team cruised to a 99-49 win to improve to 3-1.

Sophomore Ella Aldabert- 800 Relay, 1600 Relay

Senior Nathaniel White- 200, 400, 800 Relay

Senior Jonathan White- 100, 400 Relay, 800 Relay

Junior Nolan Tribu- 1600, 3200, 3200 Relay

Senior Abraham Konjoh- 800 Relay, Pole Vault

Sophomore Sam Allen- 3200 Relay, 1600 Relay

The teams will host the Annual Don Lukens Invitational on Friday. The Men's Team enters as the two time defending champions and both teams will try to defend their title of total combined points.
