Joe Meyers races his way to the State Finals

On a perfect Cross Country day , Joe Meyers ran a season best 16:05 to earn his second State Meet trip in Cross Country. It was a carbon copy of last years regional as Sam Martens of Holland defended his title and Joe was again the runner up. The Knights ran very well as we posted 12 PR's out of 18 runners . Rounding out the top seven were Oliver Rubin(64), Myles Baker(69), Nolan Tribu(72), Elijah Thompson(77),and Owen Edlefson(79) , the Knights finished 12th out of 14 schools. Joe races this Sat. Nov. 3rd at the MIS Raceway in Brooklyn Mi. Race time for D1 Boys is 2.10pm. Admission is $8.00.

Cross Country Team Rocks at Jackson Invite.

The Mens Cross Country team ripped it up at the Jackson Invite this Saturday. The CC team posted five out of seven season PR's or outright PR's. Running our second 5k in 5 days the Knights looked sharp as they dropped time and mixed it up with some of the top teams in the State. The Knights were lead by Jozef Meyers 23rd place finish good enough to pick up a medal his time was 16:19, Myles Baker was next in 115th with a time of 17:50, freshman Nolan Tribu crossed the line in 132nd his time was 18:16, Owen Edlefson was next at 142, he ran 18:31, Elijah Thompson was right on his heels as he finished in 143rd, his time was 18:32, Oliver Rubin finished in 149th place his time was 18:39, Dustin Keltsch rounded out the top seven with a 165th place finish his time was 19:28 .The Knight's race next at Gull Lake's Gull Lakeview Golf Course on Oct.2 at 5:00pm.

The Mens Cross Country finished 15th out of 16 schools this past Saturday, some of the best teams in the State were there. Dustin Keltsch was the first Knight across the line with an 87th place finish, next Myles Baker in 91st, followed by Nolan Tribu, next in was Oliver Rubin in 110th, Elijah Thompson 115th, Yoshiya Anderson at 123rd, William Carrier came in at 124th, followed by Clayton High at 131st. The Knights run again this Friday at the MSU Spartan Invitational.

The Men’s Cross Country team finished 6th out of 8 teams this passed Thursday, The Knights were lead by junior Myles Baker's 12 place finish which placed him in the medals. Following Myles across the finish line were , Will Carrier(35), Elijah Thompson(40), Oliver Rubin(43), Nolan Tribu(44), Yoshiya Anderson(51), Clayton High(53), Kobe Sackett(54), Isaiah Scisco(58), Grant Kahler(70), David Harn(76), and Caleb Schiffman(91). The Knights compete next at the Averill Memorial Invitational September 8th.
Portage Early Bird Invitational

The Knights opened the 2018 Cross Country Campaign with a 13th place finish at the Portage Central Early Bird Invitational.
Junior Joe Meyers was the winner of the race with a 16:07 to defeat all competitors.
The next event for the Knights will be on Thursday at the Adrian Invitational with raves beginning at 5:00 P.M.
