MEN Varsity Golf : Final SMAC East Jamboree

Today the rain held off so that the Men's Varsity Golf team could compete in the last Jamboree of the SMAC East division. Hosted by Gull Lake, on the Stonehedge golf course, our team finished fourth today. This gave us an overall placement of fourth in the SMAC East division. Individually, Gabe Amy had a 74, Izayah Balden shot 68, Cameron Heintzleman carded a 55, and Joseph Domanick finished 9 holes with a 45. Coach Kubiak added, "It's great to see Joe Domanick taking a leadership role as a Senior with an inexperienced varsity team that is showing much improvement as the season progresses."
The team will meet up with its crosstown rival, Kalamazoo Central, on Thursday, May 9, at The Prairies Golf Club. Tee time 11:00 am.

The Men's Varsity Golf team competed today in the first round of the SMAC Championship at Bedford Valley Golf Club in Battle Creek. Joseph Domanick finished 9 over par with an 81, Gabe Amy scored 99, and Cameron Heintzelman finished with 116. Bradley Dimick sat this round out due to an injury. Area schools that took part in the competition included Kalamazoo Central, Gull Lake, Lakeshore, BC Lakeview, Mattawan, Portage Central, Portage Northern, and St. Joseph.
