Excellent Men’s Track Season highlights Spring 2018

The Men’s Track Team finished 4-1 on the dual meet season finishing 2nd in the SMAC East and 3rd overall in the SMAC Championship. The Knights won the Gull Lake Invitational and the Hastings Invitational. They were 2nd in the Don Lukens Invitational falling by 3 points to Benton Harbor. When the Knights had everyone on the same page at the same time, they were hard to beat. Developing the true belief and understanding that Track is a team sport will be an important factor in the team finishes next year with a lot of talent returning. Sophomore Joe Meyers will be returning and was an MHSAA State Qualifier in the 3200 Meter Run. Senior Zach Skinner shattered the Pole Vault Record clearing 15 feet. Zach who also runs Cross Country and was a two time state qualifier in Men’s Swimming was the Class of 2018 Top Male Student Athlete. He will be on the Track Team at Indiana Tech next season.
